Whale Watch

Whale Watching Trips - We offer whale watching trips in the winter from January to March.  Day trips as well as multiple day trips can be arranged.  See Humpback whales, Fin whales, and the occasional porpoise.

The whale watching boat is HUGE!

Humpbacks will raise their flukes out of the water before diving deep.

We also see the occasional Fin whale.  They are the second largest species of whale in the world!

For Overnights, we usually stay at the Colonial Inn, on the Atlantic oceanfront.  Rooms are clean and spacious, there is a night watchman, and the Inn has a heated pool that can be enjoyed year round!

Costs:

Day trips - starting at $65 per person - includes meals, bus, 2 hour whale watch, guided beach walk, tour of Virginia Marine Science Museum, one chaperone free per 10 students.  This is a full day trip with no skimping on time.  Call for a  quote.  Cost can be reduced if transportation is provided (school bus, 15 passenger vans, personal cars)

Overnight trips - about $135 each - includes meals, bus, 2 hour whale watch, guided beach walk, tour of Virginia Marine Science Museum, pizza party, lecture on whales, hotel room (quadruple occupancy) (can be upgraded to double).  One chaperone free per 10 students.  Cost can be reduced if transportation is provided and if hotel is switched to off the beach.  We have lead overnights for as little as $100 per student.  Call for a quote.
