The Traveling Trunks are treasure chests of artifacts that travel to you for a two week period so that you and your students can learn more about the ocean. Learn about tides, beach zones, shells, sand, and beach conservation with lesson plans complementing the beach artifacts enclosed.
What's in the treasure chest?
Included are reference books, 5 activity sheets, and a teacher's guide. Artifacts include: Whelk Shell, Clam Shell, Scallop Shell, Oyster Shell, Moon Snail Shell, Mermaid's Necklace, Mermaid's Purse, Fish Scales, Shark's Teeth, Mussel Shell, Sea Star, Sea Urchin Test, Sand Dollar, sand from several locations around the world, Sea Urchin Spines, Barnacles, and Horseshoe Crab tails.
